Security on the web with sensitive data is always a concern, as well it should be. Users of internet technologies are well aware that there are malevolent people who take great pleasure in attacking sites that might contain personal information.

GradU-8 has devoted considerable time and resources to developing our philosophy of security with respect to Web Applications. We have opted for five levels of security with encrypted passwords for users who attempt to login to our products. GradU-8 uses the same databases as are used by NASA, the US Federal Government and many North American financial institutions (MySQL - http://www.mysql.com/company/). The transactions on the web are handled using Flash and PHP technologies, which, when implemented properly is one of the most secure implementations available.

The server side of the application is hosted on Canadian, reliable, commercial internet hosting companies whose reputation has been verified with time and experience.

Suffice it to say, that GradU-8.com users will have their OWN sub-domain (eg. harrowsmithhills.gradu-8.com) which uniquely identifies and secures their data to our hosting server. Guaranteeing security on the internet is never possible (those who promise otherwise may not be able to deliver on those promises) but taking suitable measures to minimize attacks is manageable and GradU-8 has had those measures engineered in at the design level. Other schools have chosen our application to gather their data and securely manage it to produce a huge time savings for Graduation-related data acquisition and management.
